I encounter at least 2 or 3 loose dogs on my daily walks with Apollo. Usually with the street dogs here in Mexico it is enough to yell at them to scare them off but I would not hesitate to use physical force to keep another dog from attacking mine if necessary. Fortunately it hasn't happened yet.
