I would check to be sure but it is likely (if your shelter checks homeowner's insurance) that you'll need something in writing to adopt her. Being as there are so many pit mixes available I think it likely that she'll still be there come Sunday.
Yeah, the same thing crossed my mind last night. Dankristen01 said they had a hold on her before with a deposit and then the insurance became a problem. If they told the shelter about the insurance being a problem the shelter might want proof the insurance company has changed their minds and will now cover the dog before they let the adoption go through.

Since most insurance agents don't work weekends, I'd suggest getting the agent to write something up on company letterhead stating they will now cover the dog and have it faxed, emailed or go pick it up before Friday afternoon that way it's available if the shelter asks.
