unny is 5 this October. I honestly didn't think I'd ever have him this long. I am happy he's stayed in my life. I believe he was meant to be.


Sunny came home from a pet shop because of my brother. I honestly hated this dog for several reasons. After a month of Sunny being here, I had to look after him, I wasn't happy but I did it for his sake. I felt bad for him as my brother was a shitty owner. Slowly, I mean very slowly.. I was getting more attached to him as time grew. When he a bit over a year, my brother was moving away and couldn't take Sunny so for a few weeks, there was a toss up for me keeping him or him going to the pound. I begged mum for him to stay, I was to attached by then. After a bit (I don't remember) I was having trouble with both Guage and Sunny, I sent Sunny away to live with my brother but he came back after a month because I found out Sunny was extremely skinny, he was tied on a 4ft leash for hours on end, in the sun. God I was PISSED when I found this out. Fast forward much longer, more then a year or so). Sunny and Guage got into a fight, I got bitten, I had a choose to make. Re-home both dogs or keep one. I decided I was going to re-home both dogs and get a dog I wanted. Sunny was the first to get a call for a home but mum lost the number.. a few weeks later some one called for Guage so he went to a new home. I then didn't have the heart to re-home Sunny so he stayed. As I said, I believe he was meant to be. Gosh I miss Guage dearly though.


For a dog I never wanted, for such simple reasons such as him being black, being a Labrador and I blamed him for issues with Guage. He has truly turned into a dog I love so so darn much with all my heart. He is such my little goofnut, he's a silly, fun, full of life boy with a lot of spirit in him. He always almost has a 'smile'. He is so much what I want in a dog. I sometimes worry he doesn't know how much I care about him, I try and show him I cherish him. I play with him loads, give him loads of pets and try and give him separate time alone. I am so grateful for him, I think he knows this. He doesn't always read me well but he seriously always trys to make me smile when I am upset, he trys to comfort me when I am down. I love how he rolls around on the ground/bed, it always makes me laugh. He isn't the smartest dog but he's is so loyal, he try's his best for me and I can see he wants to work for me.


I love his gentle nature. He took so many beatings from Guage it isn't funny. I mean, I love it takes a lot to push him. I would think he would attack if another dog touched his food, including high value stuff. He doesn't, he snarls a lot but he's never attacked. I of course don't throw food to test this but I've had experiences before. Worst thing about him though, he;s a tad toy aggressive.


I am grateful for Sunny, I am glad I got a dog that fit my life style, he fits my life style perfectly really. I am glad he's such a good influence on Serenity. He builds Serenity confidence so much, she is so confident when he's by her side. He also has learnt some good manners off her.


I love you Sunny. Please stay in my life for a long time. I really don't want to loose you, I know it will happen one day but please live till 14. I really hope he is around till he's 14. Course living older would be awesome.

















I've always said, I wish Sunny was the first dog I got because he's a awesome first dog type dog.

He's my best friend and he's showed me so much.
