I personally want my dogs to alert me to someone coming up my walk or knocking on my door. I never correct it and just put them in their spots before opening the door. I can say with almost 100% certainty that if someone comes into my room when Im asleep, my dogs will have a problem with it. If someone walks in my front door, Im not so sure theyll have the same reaction.
