Lily rarely barks, but when she does, I pay attention.
Liberty is a very good alert barker and is able to differentiate between something that needs to be barked at (someone at the door) and something that doesn't need to be barked at (a person walking down the street).
Neither dog I allow to carry on though. Liberty knows "enough" is enough, and I have the situation under control. Lily, if she barks, just lets out a deep "arrooo-uff" type noise and that's usually the end of that. But she also knows "enough" on the rare occasion that she feels the need to bark 2 or 3 times.
