I know I should keep an eye on him (he's only 6 months) but when I come home I let him out and go back in and prepare my meal and eat real quick. When I finish I come back out to get him and i see that the next door neighbor (who has a pitbull male too) has dug up his side of the fence and now my dog can squeeze under it to his side. This has caused my dog to dig under two other sides of the fence both to the street. How do I stop his habit
.
Easy fix.... Do NOT leave him outside unattended.... problem solved. I realize that when you get home form work you are tired, and ready to eat and get some rest... but leaving your pup outside unattended could lead to a very expensive lesson. If the neighbors pup digs under the fence and attacks your dog, it could result in a very expensive vet bill at best, and at worse, digging an even bigger hole in your back yard to bury your dog. Your dog could also dig out and get hit by a car, or worse, give chase to the neighbors cat down the road, which could lead to Animal Control coming for your dog and putting it down, or your neighbor could file charges against you, resulting in a very costly law suit.

Quite simply, it is not worth the risk to your dog to go back inside and fix something to eat. Either let the pup out real quick and stay outside with him while he does his business, or if you can't wait to eat, wait to take him out until after you have eaten.
