its called ticking...........

pigment in a white dog is a good thing, given the links to issues with dogs who lack pigment.

a mate of mine had a white stafford with a black patch on his eye / pure white "apart from the patch "as he grew he developed the same thing ,underlying dalmation spots !lol

NOT saying therr was any damnation blood in him by the way pmsl
dalmation spots are not the same, though linked through the same color genes, theyre different.
