All of our cats are outside cats, most of them are more than ten years old, with the oldest being 18, the next oldest being 17, one being 14, and mine being 12... I don't think it's inherently wrong to let your speutered felines live outside. Most of them used to be feral and hate being brought inside.

We've also spayed and neutered ferals in the neighborhood and released them to cut down on the population, I don't think that makes us bad people.
