How do they deem a dog dangerous without proof except for a false allegation

Doesn't take much,.. stray dog playing with a kid, get's scratched or knocked down and kid starts screaming bloody murder. Parents and other kids see it and say kid was attacked.. AC shows up,.. Dangerous Dog. It doesn't even have to be marks on that person. The dog could just be walking towards someone that's afraid of dogs, they can scream bloody murder, call AC and say it growled and lunged at them,..Dangerous Dog. Throw in a dog that looks any thing remotely bullyish and you have a serious problem.

To the Op,..take the advice that has been given, no matter how blunt and whether you like it or not,.. its all true and hopefully you know it.
Eventually you will have to pay one way or another,.. hopefully it's just out of pocket and not at the expense of your dogs life.

Whether you get him back or not I hope you stick around and learn. Because if you love your dog and the breed as much as you say you do,.. eventually you'll get another one. The difference is you'll be more prepared, knowledgeable and willing not willing but Determined not to make the same mistakes again.
