what to do with dylan
we had an unexpected death in the family. my grandfather died yesterday morning at 5:35am in our house. we're now dealing with everything that has to be dealt with... since he was the moving, driving force behind our family. he was like my dad.
as soon as the medical examiner releases his body (we're suppose to call at 1pm today), we will be making funeral arrangements. we wont be home much, if at all, for the next few days, starting tomorrow. we'll be with family and i guess he wanted to be cremated and taken up to where he grew up, which is a three hour drive or longer to have his ashes spread over a lake, so that right there is an all day thing (and possibly overnight if we decide to stay the night with family).
but we can't leave dylan locked up in his kennel for 18 hours. or longer with no bathroom breaks or food and water. then we'll be going and meeting with lawyers and we have to deal with the house he had just bought (that is still being built, it suppose to be finished in feburary).
anybody have any suggestions? has anybody had to deal with this? i thought about boarding him but i'm so apprehensive because he is a pit bull. i don't want him with other dogs, so he can't be in "cage free" facility (and one place that wasn't cage free is full for the holidays). i just don't know what to do right now.
