when i said my dogs play rough, that is what I meant... MY dogs...
as to playing with other peoples dogs, dogs that they have not been around, dogs they do not know.... the rule is... they don't get to play...
when we around new dogs, I keep my dogs on leash and insist that the other person does the same... if we want to allow the dogs to interact at all.... we first take the dogs on leash on a long walk.... keeping them separated in the begining... then as we walk some.. we start getting closer together, getting close enough that the dogs can smell each other, but are constantly on the move.... later in the walk, we will get side by side, but keep them moving... then when the dogs are good and tired... we will allow them to play while on the leash, then if everything looks good... they are allowed off leash with supervision...my dogs are never allowed to interact or play with other dogs unsupervised.... ever...
