I've gotten screwed over a few times on verbal agreements by people I "thought" were good as gold. I have since learned there are no (real) friends in bulldogs. Friends are friends, but business is business if you know what I mean.

well i also have paperwork where only my name is signed as the only owner so i dont really mind. its more of an agreement if I choose to do anything, which i wont unless I feel shes worthy, and if not, i will fix her, which he also agreed that should be done, so i mean theres not much to it for me, i guess it would be different if you got some a-hole who decided to lie to you about it
