awww.... Poor Sasha!!! She needs to talk to Bella, who won't even attempt to jump on the bed, but instead, will put her front feet up and then turn around to look at me as if to say, "Ok, I'm ready for you to put me on the bed now" Of course, with Bella, she has back leg issues from slight ACL tears, but luckily, no hip problems as of yet. I had x rays to check for hip dysplayia back in the summer and the vet said there were no problems with her hips... so now, I have to see if she's going to end up needing ACL surgery.

Glad Sasha will be ok. Any chance you could just get a box and cover it with carpet? That might not be as scary as the stairs... just a thought.
