no i did have a place for them to stay. i was going to leave them at the boarding facility where i know the owner. but the prices have gone up drastically and i just found out this morning so now i dont know what to do because leaving my dogs at the kennel would cost me about a grand. so i am exploring all of my options before i make a decision to what i will do.. so no its not irresonible.. things happen

and i wouldnt leave my dogs with someone untrustworthy or a kennel i dont feel comfortable with.

Yep, like I said I wasn't sure exactly what your situation was. Is there any way you could get someone to watch them for part of your trip then have them boarded the rest of it? That may help with some of the cost but it would depend on if you had someone reliable or not. That and maybe checking out more kennels in the area to see if there is something that would be secure enough but at a better price.
