Depends on the dog and where you live.

Some friends of mine live out in the country, and their pit bull and JRT looking dog are in kennels, and they find dead snakes in the kennel all the time, no marks on the dogs.

And there are only 2 kinds of poisonous snakes around here, which are only found around water, and where there are very few people.
