I picked up the puppy she appears to be around 9 to 10 months. Here is the rest of the story. Apparently this little girl was in an abusive environment. This man was walking the dog on my neices street with a chain around the dog, a heavy chain and was kicking it and beating it. The man turned over the dog to my neice and she called me. The dog is very sweet, scared but very sweet. Underweight and does have indications of being chained up, unlike most dogs she' didn't run when outside unleashed. She also had and old injury, embedded collar as well. I turned her into my place of work a vet clinic to be vetted out and my neice and I are looking for fosters. Sadly, she will be turned over to animal control tm morning. My neice said that if that happened to call her and her friend who was very, emotional about the whole thing would go pick her up. She could not keep the dog because her mother wouldn't let her. She already has 2 other pit bulls. BUT....there is really nothing I could do except take her into work to be checked out. My husband would not let me keep her at my home and I just feel soo horrible about the entire situation. She's in good health, just really skinny and timid from being abused and apparently they were trying to breed this little girl because she would not let anyone touch her rear area and acted very, very scared....that is what we think because they guy that gave them this dog and I hate to mention race was according to them " a low life black gangsta...." won't say the word.

I'm awaiting a phone call from work and if she does go to ccac in the morning I'll be getting her out. IN the meantime all of us are looking for fosters.

Thanks for the advice, as far as PTS it was requested that she NOT be put to sleep but if she has heart worms she will be. She needs a chance at having a decent life and I'm trying but it's upsetting that the only thing I could do was take her to the vet. I plan on opening a pit bull rescue when I get a larger place in the future to save these dogs from what this puppy has had to endure.

I did contact south atlanta bullies and she doesn't have any room.
My friend contacted brandon from some rescue here in atlanta I forget the name but he would only spay and do shots for free if a foster was found.

alright, some good has come of this. She's now at my home instead of CCAC. She does have a foster finally! She'll be going there tm. The lady is also interested in possibly keeping her as well. She'll be leaving in the morning with me.
