I checked with a friend currently serving in the Army and living in on base housing with his wife and children. He said the breed ban is in effect and that your dog is grandfathered in providing you did the proper paperwork before the cutoff date which is different at different posts. He also said that the grandfathering loses effect if you move off base and then move back on or if you get transferred. He said the best thing to do is have your dog listed through the vet as a mix of anything but the banned breeds and hope no one makes a complaint.
