Chapstickglue posted this in the "My Dogs Ears" thread the other day:

So those would be the "proper" terms. People have their own names for some of them, but unless you're going to be showing the dog it shouldn't matter as long as you like the way they look.

Now if they were causing infections or something then I might worry about it, but if it's just a matter of appearance what I think looks good you might think looks dumb and the other way round.
That's a really nice picture set up! I think her's would fall under rose ear. No she won't be showing and so far no issues have arrisen because of them so I am happy.

she is so cute looking, I love her ears too, she could lose a little weight but she is not a rolly poley so its not to bad
Thanks, that cuteness is the only thing that saves her sometimes!
Because of her leg problems and other health issues I haven't wanted to work her to much but now that she is stregthening up and getting healthier, she's going to be on a workout routine and getting into more stuff

She's adorable. Lucy has the same ears. The nice thing about ears is, you know when they're up to trouble.

April, I love your wombat!
Haha oh do they, when she's doing something she shouldn't her ears go back and she give the puppy gaze.

It looks like she has the standard rose ears. Her weight looks good for a puppy, I like mine a little heavier until 4-6 months depending on the pups structure(not fat, just thick). If a pup gets sick/parasite that extra weight can be a life saver since they can go downhill in such a short amount of time.
That's a really good point about them needing a little more weight. Plus I sort of look at it like baby fat.

I love her ears! How old is she? She's a cutie.
Thanks, she just turned six months old. She's growing up so fast
