Yup. This is from my community's fireworks celebration site:
Leave Your Pets at Home – Dogs do not enjoy the loud noises made by the fireworks. Leave them home in the quiet of an air conditioned room. More dogs are lost on July 4th than any other day of the year.

Neither of my dogs care, but I'm sure they don't enjoy it. If it's that loud for us, imagine how loud it is to their sensitive hearing.
