Damn, it's begun....just had a beautiful male tan and black pit mix show up at my house. He's obviously terrified of the fireworks neighbors are shooting off. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no where to put him. It's not fair to the dogs I've already got in my rescue to take in another one. I'm trying to find him a foster, but if I can't by the morning, I have to take him to animal control. I'm having to go over to another rescuers house just to borrow a crate to keep him in for the night.

I remembered I had an extra crate stored in my guestroom. I took 5 minutes to grab the pieces and put them together outside and he ran to the other side of my neighbor's fence and climbed over. I went ahead and put the crate together (old school drop pin, it was a bitch) in case he comes back. I'm sure he won't be the only loose dog to grace us with their presence this weekend.
