Most people around here don't walk their dogs or let them out of the yard even. Those dogs go spastic when we walk by and I always worry one will bump open a door or something. There are the few people who have dogs that get out due to owner stupidity and I avoid them by walking during working hours when the dogs are locked safely in the house or late at night for the same reason. I o walk mine at the city park sometimes because there are often other dog walkers with their dogs on leash and I want mine to learn to walk nicely past them without trying to play with both dogs and owner.

My real worry is the bunnies and squirrels. For the burbs we have a lot of them. Last time my two saw a bunny they dragged me about a block trying to catch it because i wasn't prepared.
