One of my favorite storys is how we came to get Sox. My husband has multiple friends with registered Bulldogs. Some are very capable and great, some not so much.
Well there was this one guy that seemed to have a penchant for staying in trouble and he really did have some well bred dogs too.
My husband came home and told me all about this gorgeous dog that this guy had and that the dude didn't even have him on a chain or anything. I commented on how dumbazz the guy was and forgot about it. I think Sox must have been about 9 months old about then.
Well fast forward several months. We were sitting in the kitchen entertaining some more Bulldog friends when the dumazz guy calls and wants to know if we want to buy Sox?!?
Hmmmm, Husband says this boy is really gorgeous and well bred too. Ok, I will bite. Bring him over for me to see for myself.
He brings Sox over, he had a huge hole in his lip where another dog had attacked him and needed a bath severely but YES I wanted him!!
I gave him $300 and got the neatest Bulldog in the world. Makes a model housedog, loves everyone, puppies, kittens you name it, and is UBER DA to boot now.
His DA kicked in several months after we got him, and I guess he was just a late bloomer.
I don't regret buying him for one minute. I am fairly sure he would have been injured badly where he was because he was around so many DA dogs and wasn't DA as yet. That dumazz kicks himself on a regular basis these days.
