SouthernThistle: "The CKC is known to have humans and stuffed animals with registration papers from them." And how does that have any bearing whatsoever? Heck, we ALL know about the bandogges registered as pit bulls in the ADBA & the English Bulldog mixes registered as pit bulls in the UKC. Heck, the AKC has a CAT registered with them & not as a feline either!
If you read my post......................

You stated that the NKC doesn't require inspections of the dogs - only photos. MY response was "isn't that what the CKC does?"

In other words, the CKC is NOT a reputable organization by any stretch of the imagination; therefore, if another organization uses the same "registration"/ "proof of purebred status" as the CKC, it falls under the same category of not being reputable.

Other organizations have a little bit higher standards when it comes to registering their animals. I have never heard of a cat being registered AKC (that means truly registered AKC....not any of the other programs they have out there that people mistake for true registration.)

Yes, people lie on applications. Yes, it happens in all organizations.

However, some organizations have a little more strict standards to try to prevent that from occurring.

In MY opinion on the NKC (since that's what this post was about) and based on what I have seen from people selling NKC dogs, no.....I wouldn't bother with the NKC.
