Neither of my dogs are scared of storms.
I saw this on it's me or the dog, and I think it's a good idea. Get a noise machine that sounds like thunder, and turn it on the lowest possible noise setting. Any calm behavior from the dog gets a treat. Then amp it up until your at the loudest setting and the dog is calm.
We've had a couple tornado warnings in the past, and I would just take Liberty with us into the cedar closet in the basement.
