I licensed mine as terriers. No one said anything. That way, they are covered in a grandfather clause, but "terriers" is a pretty big catagory. I would license either way, even if I had to be specific.

To make sure I had the grandfathering nailed, I also microchipped. That way, there's no question about my ownership and dates on it.
