I thought the idea of this forum is to post your experiances so others can learn from them.. (good or bad) and to learn of this breed.. We risk our breed by just walking down the street - all it takes is one time.. can you honestly say that you've never walked you dogs or taken them to the beach and never seen a stray? Your dogs might be on a leash but that does not keep the other dog from coming to you. so we should not walk our dogs anymore?? I've had dogs get in my yard, does that mean my dogs should not go outside? If you are careful and responsible, I do not see why its an issue. What your saying is every one come love my dogs.. my dogs are not the dangerous dogs you think they are, but it's not safe to take my dogs in public.. yes, they can be DA, but any dog can be. You take your dogs to shows, with many many other pitbulls.. some on leads as small as a chain necklace. My point is, at anytime anything can happen, but you don't see me demanding you lock your dogs in your house. I agree with a lot on this forum, and your right, I do not think taking them to dog parks is a smart thing if there are a lot of dogs there and/or you cannot control yours, but I do not agree with being ok with someone taking their dogs loose to a beach or field and other dogs there as well but not ok with dog parks.. either your for it or against it.. both are just as dangerous and both are just as fun.

I posted this knowing it would be up for debate.. but please do not tell me I can not take my dogs somewhere.. advise me, but do not demand me! and telling me not to post about it - just sets a fire under me.. that is what this forum is for and if not - then maybe its not the place for me! I am all about learning from my mistakes and others mistakes , but I am also about respecting others and enjoying a happy story.
