The point made was very valid that someone may read a story of dogs being taken to a park and things working out ok so they may get bold and try it as well. If their results aren't as positive it can lead to a lot of trouble. It scares me when people have the attitude of their rights being taken away by not going to parks or whatever. The fact quite often is that if there are dogs around, you have a pretty volatile recipe for trouble whether it be in a paddock or by a river or whereever. Do debate semantics just adds fuel to the pig headed pit bull owner image. Things are different all around the world and in NZ owners basically have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana skin. Every owner here needs to come down hard on their own if they do anything stupid to risk more attention. I would hate to think this is how things will be all around the world.
