[Yinekol]

I just got back from taking tinkerbell and spinner to an open field up the road.. (hubby and kids were with me).. my dogs were leashed (as its the law).. we were practicing commands (sit, stay, down-stay, exc) I guess some kids thought it would be nice to bring their golden retriever out as well.. No problem by me except the kids were 4-5years old and no parents around.. I did not say anything.. but I did however tell the hubby its time to go before something happens.. (the kids could not hold on to the other dogs leash for nothing).. well as I bend down to treat tinkerbell and say *lets go home*.. their dog got away from them and charged at tinkerbell.. My daughter was standing right by us and got knocked down.. tinkerbell took a stance and I knew we had to leave right then and there so I got in between tink and the other dog (I know, not smart) but I used my knee to nudge the other dog back and grab my daughter and started walking.. by this time the mother stepped outside and as I was walking, I told her *might want to make sure the kids can handle the dog before you let them bring him out unsupervised*.. she of course, started apologizing like crazy.. but then goes back inside and left the kids and dog outside again.. wtf? So we keep walking home and the kids decide there is nothing there to do now and go in... I know they are just kids, but their momma should know better - the dog was like a horse to them kids..
