Agreed. Many dogs are born with back dew-claws and are removed for health reasons. I would even suggest removing front dew claws. They are vestigial and serve absolutely no purpose. Removing them guarantees they won't get caught on something and rip.
Yeah my friend's Ridgeback has torn up both his front ones repeatedly. She says next time he eff's one up they are just going to be removed.
