The thing about training dogs is you gotta deal with their owners which is the biggest drawback because most people are compltely clueless and listen about as well as a 3yr old with ADD.
I volunteer with my local SPCA on the weekends and train their dogs that is my favorite part unfortunately it doest pay me anything. I charge 60.00 per hour or 3 lessons for 160.00 so it is pretty good money but I am not busy all the time either it is my secondary job so I am not depending on it to pay the bills.
I used to do group obedience lessons and would charge 150.00 ea for 7 lessons and there was usualy 6or7 people in the class so thats 900.00 for 7 hours work which is nothing to sneeze at but I quit doing it because I just wasnt seeing the results I wanted.
Now that I am doing private lessons exclusively I have alot more control and the dos that finish my program are far better than the ones that took the group lesons.

Sorry if any of this is gibberish I have tonsillitis and i am waced out on nyquil....
I forgot about the "owners". They can be WAY more trouble than the dogs...
