I have to stick my nose in here.
Do you feed her (looks like a girly from the fat figure!) other than the algae/left overs around the tank? A lot of pet shops will tell you thy only need what is left over, but they benefit from regular feedings... I feel horrible for all the poor pleco's who should be getting meals that are left to starve for algae.

Too funny... You'd be surprised what personalities fish have... My koi girl is such a little diva, she will only let me touch her if there is some mango in it for her, but Caddy my Fancy goldfish is al for bak rubs all the time. Porky, my shubunkin with no hind end due to a cichlid attack, is a nut. He is a ball of fire. And they recognize people. My old angels knew who I was, they got downright ditzy when I walked in the room, didn't react to family.

Ah, in case you weren't aware, that's a CAE, Chinese Algae eater. Got any algae wafers? mine loved them.. Homemade veggie jello snacks were a big hit too.
Cool! It's nice to finally know what he, or she , is so we can research. Someone gave him to us with some red eye tetras and some other sort of tetra angel like fish of some sort, as they didn't want them anymore. The tetra's have now passed on so he's got the whole tank to himself! He does get fed other stuff. He gets sinking wafers, shrimp sinking pellets, frozen bloodworms and whatever else we can find that he can eat from the petstore.

We used to have two VERY cool gold fish. One a black moor and the other one of those bubble eye ones. They were so cool and interactive. I really liked the gold fish over the tetras as they were too scared for my liking but the gold fish, man, they were a trip. When we just had the black moor left, he got swim bladder and gaud... I spent a couple hundred bucks trying to make him better, but he didn't make it.

I keep buggin' Daemon to get more fish for the tank, but I think he'd like to try his hand at something new when this girl passes on.

They tend to be skittish, but also can be aggressive in fish tanks and pick on other fish.
Ya.... we were told by the person who ditched them he can be aggressive. He didn't seem to bug the tetras but we were leary about adding something to the tank worrying he'd just harrass it.
