Ok, my mom owns Shorkie's.. She is a very good pet owner, but somehow someway, her female was pregnant and we did not know it. She is a little thing and never even showed signs of being in heat. (she is 9 months old).. well today, my mother called asking to take my kids to the fair. On the way to stop back by her house to get a jacket before heading to the fair, they heard their dog making wierd noises so went to check on her. She had 2 pups. but no after birth.. so they waited to make sure she had the after birth. (She did).. now 6 hours later, still only 2 pups. She is doing great though. My mother said she does not think she has any milk though. The pups are not attaching on. I told her to call her vet and send my dad to get a puppy bottle and milk. Now, I have a question. Is it normal for small dogs to have just 2 pups? The momma is not in any pain or anything, but 2 pups.. I am worried, we raised Poms growing up but they always had 4-6 pups.. Anyway, for you pic lovers out there, heres a pic of mom and dad and pic of pups coming later tonight.
