I use pepper spray. It has worked twice. But I know it is not infallible.

I have in the past also used threatening movement and throwing rocks at the loose dog. That has worked too. I know the aggressiveness on my part makes me more vulnerable to being attacked, but I don't know what else to do to protect my dog. (I am not worried about him hurting another dog; it would probably be the other way around).
