I just started a rescue and we can't even get people to temporarily take purebred pit bulls for free. 599 of every 600 pit bulls DIE on the streets or in a shelter. Here's a photo of a "rednose" that's being euthanized tomorrow:

Someone thought it was a great idea to breed his parents, but as you can see he ended up where most pit bulls do: sentenced to die.
