Maybe the dog will get lucky and they wont have the money or desire to treat and sign the dog over to the vet clinic.I know how this feels,last summer some drunks across the street from me got a puppy.It was allways running off to visit anyone walking down the street.I even gave thema leash once but they said they wanted it to learn to stay in the yard witout running off.It got hit by a city bus.
