BINGO - Coolhandjean. Thanks OK I AM SO CONFUSED ITS NOT FUNNY, LOL. I dont know anything about the standards etc. So all this is going over my head. So the first 4 photo's posted are incorrect?? The first - AMBULLY - Short, stocky - In australia is just called a STAFFY. - What is this called in USA, Is this the one which is not recognised? Second - American Staff - Is this AST? And a recognised breed? Third - American Staff Bull Terrier - No such thing??? Forth - American Pit Bull Terrier - APBT - This is restricted in AUS, But this is from the AUS policy - (a) dogo Argentino; (b) fila Brasileiro; ( c) Japanese tosa; (d) American pit bull terrier; (e) pit bull terrier; or - (SO WHAT THE HELL IS THIS, HAVE THE AUSSIE'S GOT IT WRONG HERE?) (-THE PRESA CANARIO WAS ADDED NOV 16 2005. Yet to be updated on State Gov Site. ( See Circular No 29-2005 for more details)) If there is no such thing as a pit bull terrier, then I can ignore th above (e). And Bull Terrier - is the one above fromColhandjean? My AMSTAFF was bought from a pet shop without paper (I know I know, I wanted papers, but my partner fell in love). But they are allowed to sell without, it does not make him a APBT. Basically this is my question - I am looking for a leaner, taller breed. If this happens to be the APBT, then I am out of luck. As an AMSTAFF is wider accross the chest etc correct??
