So I asked the judge after our class what he needed to change (why he didn't place) and she said his conformation is great except for his neck is a little long (she suggested I get a 2" collar for him next time to make his neck look shorter) and he needs to be 'tightened up" some. She also said he needs to have more attitude. Being the 2-3 males class they are all full of piss and vinegar lol
Neck too long?
Here is what the AADR standard says:

NECK – 3 points
The neck should be muscular, and long enough that when the dog stands naturally on a slack leash, the bottom line of the jaw is level with, or just above the center of the spine when viewed from the side. About 3/4ths the width of the jaw where it joins the skull, the neck widens gradually until it transitions smoothly into the shoulders.

I was always told by my mentors to never use a 2" collar - makes their neck look too short.
Yep - 2-3 males is one of the hardest classes. That and attitude I can agree with.
