This memorial is for the dogs. Period. I'm, not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers when I say the following. Again, this is a memorial for the dogs. It's a way for the people who are greiving can maybe get some sort of closure. There have to be one or two people who worked on the euthanisia team who are having sleepless nights. This tribute could help ease their mind. It's an organized memorial service, all they ask is that you light a candle. Step outside your self absorbed self and look around, there's no harm in remembering, memoralizing or making a tribute to these dogs who died needlessly. All of the actions people are taking, down to the simple letter writer are being noticed. The HSUS claims they are making changes to their policies. It's a memorial service, it should touch your heart, maybe even bring a tear to your eye, in remembrance of all the lives lost. It's a time to just be respectful of what other people need to do to move on. All they want you to do is light a candle....
