Some people who own the dogs have no idea and think they do own an APBT what do we do about them? Especially if the dog has papers.

From what I have experienced, they just tell you that you are dumb and that they have papers, so they know more than you. I haven't gotten a very warm "reception" from the American Bully crowd from post like this. Which If I were attacking the breed, I would understand their anger, but I don't feel I bashed the breed at all. I even did a survey once asking if the AKC/UKC/ABDA/AADR all accepted the American Bully into the registries, if they would then call their dogs, American Bullies. I think I got one or two people say "yes". The other options were, "No, other reason", which got the majority of the votes, they kept telling me that they feel their dog is an APBT, and the last option was, "No, I like calling it a pit", and about five people voted for that one.
