I have 3 that I always tell when sharing golf stories

1) Playing with mu buddies. On the 1st tee, one of my friends tees off. His drive is a screaming worm burner. The cart path of the 1st tee crosses the fairway about 50yd out. His worm burner hits the front end of the path, ball comes back at him, still in his pose lifts his foot up just like a runner on 1st avoids a single to right, ball goes under his foot, picks up his tee, and he shakes his head.

2) we had 8 playing that day so we had 2 groups going. I was in the first. While waiting on par 3 on the 4th hole, I hear this big bang and rattling as if somebody just threw something in the trash. My good friend in the group behind from 150yd out flew it over the green and into a water cooler cage. Walked over to check it out. Amazing shot. He asked me what does mean, I said "1 shot penalty, its an unplayable lie."

3) My senior year on the golf team during try outs I was walking to the green 3rd hole. The group behind me tees off. I hear FOOORREEEE! I duck but no ball. Found out the fore was for the group on the par 3 hole parallel to ours. All of sudden I hear the group on the par 3 green shaking their head and laughing. The kid that hit the ball walks to green and starts jumping up and down for joy yelling "I got a hole in one!"

At the end of the round, talked to my coach. Asked him if had heard. He said yes and he said the kid still thinks he got a hole in one. Amazing shot, yes. Hole in one, no.
