This happened during yesterday's round: We had fallen a little behind the group in front of us, so as we were approaching our tee shots on the 5th hole, the group ahead was already teeing off on the 6th. The 6th hole is a par 3 that isn't quite parallel to the 5th, but the 5th green is a little below and to the right of the 6th tee.

My tee shot was only about 110 yards from the 5th green, and as I'm walking up I see a ball rolling across the green and into the cup! One of the guys on the 6th hole had sliced/shanked his tee shot into the trees and it made a beeline for the 5th hole! From the angle of the ball, I was not initially sure it had even come from their tee....like maybe someone was practicing their chip shots or something. But, sure enough, one of the guys from the group ahead appeared on the green and waived at us, and then started looking around for his ball. I let him search for a few seconds, and then I yelled "Its in the hole!" He must have thought I was doing a bad Bill Murray impersonation, because he kind of shook his head, and then finally said "Are you serious?"

I said I was serious, so he gingerly walked over to the hole and peeked in. Then he reached down and pulled up his ball, and we all yelled "Hole-in-One!!!"
