75 yards is a partial L wedge, and since I can't practice anymore with 3 kids in sports and a wife that works, I don't leave myself that distance. I will leave myself 85-90 yards or farther out or greenside, that way I don't have any partial wedge shots. Makes lay up calculations on par 5's a little trickier, but full wedges are much easier to hit the right distance for me.
If you're really struggling from that yardage, see a pro and it may be a simple set up fix. Most golfers have a poor set up with a wedge(ball too far forward or weight at address out of whack).
