I think a lot of people hurt their scores by constantly changing equipment looking to get better, when practice and sticking with the same sticks would be more beneficial.
That sums up my thought. If golfers would find a club or clubs that they can like and really work to improve their game with them, they would be better off. A new driver or irons every year isn't going to help your game. About 4-5 years ago I spent a ton of time finding the best irons for myself that I could. It took about a season and a half to get them really 'dialed in' to the point where I know everything I am capable of with each club. My scores were a little worse at first during this period, now they are much better. No way am I going through that process again anytime soon.
