No point wasting money, especially when I'm not exactly rolling in it..

If you hate your club pro, then no matter how good he is at teaching, your predisposition will probably take away from you getting the most that you can from the lessons.
Thats what I was thinking, I would probably be angry with him helping me..

When I was looking for lessons I looked for a coach who I could understand easily, and someone who understood me easily. I don't explain things too well, so having someone who understands what I say when I'm explaining it from my side of the ball is a blessing. I'm really happy with my coach I have now.
That would probably be the guy I get on well with, definitely not my club pro, but as I've said I've heard he is not a good teacher, especially on short game which I need the most...

After these replies I think I am limited to go on the advice of my friend and go with the guy I don't know as at least I might be able to go in there with an open mind and really listen to him?...
