I just had the qualifying for my club championship:

Course: Manchester Country Club
Flight: Championship
Tees: Blue
Yardage & Rating: 6,339yds/70.6 rating/128 slope

This is my first year as a member at any club so the whole experience is new. We had a 36 Hole stroke play qualifying was this past weekend. Top 15 qualifiers plus last years defending champ move on to match play over the next 2 weekends. I shot 73/85 for a 158. Talk about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Played great saturday, 4 birdies/5 bogeys. My short game totally escaped me sunday. I started out too relaxed and then started pushing too hard at the end of the round thinking I had to nab a birdie or two to make the cut. Ended up 3 putting my first green all weekend on 17 sunday getting too aggressive. Made a nice 4-5 foot par save on 18 to take the 15th spot. I face the defending champ this saturday.

I took yesterday off from golf as I think I may have over done it leading into the qualifiers. Was super drained on sunday and it reflected in my score. I'll be going out tonight, possibly range time, probably a few holes and definitely some short game work. I've got rounds planned for tomorrow and friday to keep my game sharp and hopefully get a little confidence back after completely unravelling on Sunday.

Best of luck to anyone else competing in their club championship!
Good luck man, I love the way your club does their club championship and good luck out there. For us its just a pretty standard 3 days stroke play event, 2 rounds on the mountain course, and then 1 round on the Valley course.
