Like others have said, water or a sports drink that you like that doesn't have a lot of high fructose corn syrup in it. One thing that has helped me is to start drinking water HOURS before I get out in the heat.
I have actually had to go to the hospital for heat exhaustion a few times in the past-one time recently over July 4th weekend. My doctor suggests Pedialyte as opposed to sports drinks so I always have that available.
