I'm a spot putter. I find a spot halfway to the hole and figure out what I would do if the ball was at that spot. I want the ball to have the same speed at my spot as it would if I were putting from there. I line up the ball to the spot and go.

This is more or less what I was trying to explain above. Or at least something similar.
