I played in a tournament last year where a dude in the group in front of us hit a hole in one to win a 2011 VW Jetta (tourny sponsored by a local VW dealership). As far as I know he got the car.
Usually the car dealer would pay for "hole in one insurance" which is usually a few hundred bucks. That would be their "sponsorship" and also providing the car. If a hole in one in made, the dealer gets paid by the insurance company.
