So at a golf outing a few weeks ago I won a 5 lesson plan and today was my first lesson. Even though I've been playing for so long I had to take 4 seasons off due to injury so my game suffered quite a piece. I was quite pleased how the lesson went today and really started getting comfortable with the changes right away and saw almost immediate improvement in my iron's. Then we went to the putting green for a little while and he completely changed the way I put after asking if I'd like to try something new or work on what I already do. I was open to a new stroke even though I always felt I putted well and I'm really glad I tried the new stance. First off people will stop laughing at the way I stand (I would stand like an upside-down L) but also the fact I was sinking 10 - 15 footers like never before. Also I have to give big props to him since the lessons I won were for 5 1/2 hour lessons and he spent an 1:45 with me today cause he had no lessons booked after me. Anyway I just thought I'd share and say even if you've been playing a while you could always learn something new.
Well, I've been playing since the early 1970's when I had my first lesson and my last a month or so ago, all with the same teacher. Lessons for most of the people I play with have been for life. More tune up's than lesson I guess, but working with a professional from time to time is the way forward I think.

Sounds like you are on the right path. Hope they all bring something good to you and your game. Keep us posted.
