They also have to put in the time without Hank around, and most of them don't hit the range nearly enough to make the changes he is trying to implement IMO.
I don't watch any of these shows (outside of accidentally catching a segment here and there) so my opinion might be way off base because i'm ignorant of the factual details; but my opinion falls along the line of this.

Sure there are times where certain teachers and certain pupils just don't mesh for whatever reason, but more often than not most of these things really boil down to how much time and effort you're willing to put in. I don't know all that much about haney, I know some people don't like him, but the man does know golf he didn't get to where he is if he didn't know golf. So i'd imagine that that if you're willing to put in the work on what he's teaching, you'd improve. If you don't, you won't. just like anything else.
